QT Presents 'Urban Oasis'

Introducing performance art at QT with Arthur Cohen’s ‘The Weaver’s Guild, Chapter 1: Yaffa Datura; Hatching’

‘Urban Oasis’ will feature an evening of performance and group discussion, presented by QT

The debut concept via our contemporary art initiative at Middle Eight not only includes a group exhibition of artworks displayed upstairs, but will also offer visitors the chance to engage with the medium of performance.

On Friday, 4th October from 6:00-:800pm, guests are invited to a special presentation of ‘The Weaver’s Guild, Chapter 1: Yaffa Datura; Hatching’, marking the birth of an exhaustive project concept that introduces one of three protagonists developed by Writer, Director and Producer Arthur Cohen.

As ‘Urban Oasis’ at Middle Eight Hotel navigates themes of ecology, symbiosis and harmonising the natural with the manmade, ‘Yaffa Datura; Hatching’ seamlessly aligns in these efforts to explore, investigate and unpack complexities through the act of creative expression. Inspired by the practice of weaving, psychology and identity, a story is drawn from personal experiences.

Brought to you by Candid House Projects, join us in QT on Friday, 4th October to engage with this developing narrative, where we surrender to the will of performative storytelling through sound, movement and visual prowess.

Following the performance, we invite our guests to participate in a group discussion between Arthur, collaborator and performer Borgial, and Co-Founder of Candid House Projects Raphael Tecucianu, mediated by the Director of our art initiative, Artscope Founder Kate Fensterstock.
