Creativity and artistic expression is integral to the experience at Middle Eight Hotel. We are pleased to be partnering with fashion designer and multidisciplinary artist, Katie Ko, who will be presenting her upcoming A/W 2025 collection during London Fashion Week.

In support of this milestone, Katie has collaborated with our team to curate a tea menu, featuring authentic selections with a thoughtful twist.

Growing up in Hong Kong, Katie enjoyed Chrysanthemum tea throughout her childhood, whether it was before ballet training or during her studies where she discovered her admiration for the Impressionist period. As her creative potential ‘blossomed’, Katie’s heritage and cultural experience would continue to inspire her creative expression.

Traditional, colourful Chinese porcelain vases and blooming chrysanthemum flowers are reflected directly into the silhouettes and prints of her latest collection; where the colour palette consists of soft jewel tones, reminiscent of Ko’s tutus worn during her ballet years and looks named after some of the roles she performed.

We invite our guests to enjoy this menu of tea and cocktails, available from the 5th February, before visiting a capsule exhibition of Katie’s artworks, located in the Balcony and the Bar. Explore how diverse sensory experiences across art, dining and storytelling come together here at Middle Eight Hotel.

Our inaugural programme focused on reflecting the core components of our ethos through transforming the hotel into a multidisciplinary art and culture centre. Visitors could enjoy a comprehensive experience with examples of fine art through exhibitions, performances, panel discussions and other frameworks designed to educate and encourage.

We have been inspired by the balance between nature and manmade, channelled through creative expression.
